Recyclable waste collection—Increasing ecopoint filling capacity to reduce energy for transportation

Urban waste production is increasing around the world. In present Covid-19 context, an emergent flow of growth, as well pollution in general, stems from confinement and use protective masks. Although part considered commingled, much recyclable, if properly disposed off. Hence, recycling plays today, more than ever, extremely important role, not only terms prevention, but also point view circular economy resources efficiency. Thus, this work focused on developing approach to assist wastes. As a management option, depends collective behavior, that relies individual acts. Therefore, plastic/metal compaction systems can help reaching targets, even complement conventional commingled bins. we proposal for collection station with built-in element allows one compact separated waste, individually, easily accessible drawer. Sorting before will then result reduction number collection/transportations stops, which translate into higher efficiency, costs, optimization transported tons/km ratio, profitability.
